The collection was designed by Pierre Hardy to match the high-tech materials of Nicolas Ghesquiere’s clothing designs. The shoes are made from a range of materials that include leather, wood, plastic, metal and a few newer high tech materials. The designs feature classic forms like the loafer and brogue, reinvented with the square heels made from collaged bits of plastic that are reminiscent of Memphis Design. Other designs even have slip-in style front that take a design cue from water ski bindings.
